The Kilmartin is the café end of the community owned and run shop and village hall in Staffin. It doesn't look much from the outside (or from the inside for that matter!), but I'm happy to recommend it as a good refuelling point on a trip round the Trotternish peninsula. The nice people here are serving up good basic food with a smile and with care. The coffee machine turns out a quality mugful too.

Did you know?

A croft is not a building. A croft is a unit of land subject to the Crofting Acts. It may or may not have a house on it.
There are around 2,000 crofts on Skye.
