General The Skye Guide is written and maintained by John Allan. It is designed primarily to be of value to visitors to Skye. As such, the concentration of information is around those things that visitors are most likely to value, though many sections will be helpful to people who live on Skye, or who are planning to do so. I am one of Skye's incomers. I have known the island for over thirty years but have lived here permanently only since 2005. The guide mostly covers those things of which I have personal experience. It is always work in progress and will be added to, subtracted from and changed from time to time. Check back! Opinions I have tried to keep a clear distinction beween fact and opinion throughout the guide. I hope it is clear where one ends and the other begins. The opinions expressed are mine and I hope they have value for you - but please don't treat them as facts. Your opinion may differ. And do let me know what your opinions are.
