New Historic Environment Resource

Highland council has launched a new web resource with a huge amount of information on local historic sites, including some great stuff for Skye.  The map interface is probably the easiest way to access it.

The left bank of a burn or river is the one on your left side when facing downstream.

The right bank of a burn or river is the one on your right side when facing downstream.

So, when following the left bank of a burn up a hill, the burn will be on your left hand side.....
