The Bella Jane is based at Elgol jetty. She plies between there and Coruisk, giving easy access to the dramatic Loch Coruisk. The service is useful as a route in and out of this remote area for walkers and climbers in the Cuillin, but most people on board are there to enjoy the cruise and the scenery.

The trip takes you up the sea loch, Loch Scavaig, to the landing stage at the mouth of the River Scavaig. The mountain views en route are probably the best in Britain, and you'll get a chance to see seals into the bargain. From the landing point it is but a short walk to Loch Coruisk itself. Sensible shoes and clothing are needed, but it's not at all stretching if you are steady on your feet.

The organisation and hospitality are first class. A highly recommended outing.
