Roadworks and closures
on the A855 between
Portree and Staffin
Major works are underway on the road north from Portree until the end of February 2009. Details of the planned times of road closure can be found here.

The Stardust operates from the pier at Portree and offers a selection of trips annd charters. Sea eagles are a highlight for many visitors and there is plenty of other wildlife around too. Trips to the islands of Rona and Raasay can be arranged, or just a summer evening cruise away from the midges!
