Because I live on Skye, I don't have a lot of experience of the island's accommodation options. There are other websites, such as Tripadvisor, Airbnb and Visit Scotland where you can read reviews and opinions. All I have done here is to give some guidance on what to look for, based on my general knowledge of the options available on Skye.
The Isle of Skye is hugely busy every summer. There are times when visitors end up sleeping on the floors of village halls because there are no beds available on the island. So do try to get your place to stay organised in good time!
There are hundreds and hundreds of holiday rental properties on Skye, and they can be found in every part of the island. Renting one for your visit here can be your chance to live in a traditional croft house in a real crofting community, or a chance to experience an ultra-modern eco friendly building. Some are in the most wonderful locations, some have awesome views, and some have both!
The choices are all yours - but book very early if you want it to be a wide choice. The best are snapped up well in advance, especially for the peak summer season.
