The Secret Waterfall
The Secret Waterfall

The secret waterfall comes as a real and very pleasant surprise on this easy stroll along a forestry road. There is safe parking for a few vehicles where the gated forest road leaves the public road, heading northwards.

Other than some good views across Loch Snizort towards Uig, the walk is unremarkable until suddenly, after about 15 or 20 minutes, a small, deep, and very beautiful glen appears on your left. This is another of the magical places of Skye - another place of fairies.

Enter the glen with the burn on your left, and you'll find a faint path along the side of the burn that goes to a very sheltered spot at the foot of the waterfall.

I could tell you more clearly how to find it. But then it wouldn't be a secret, would it?
